Stacking The Shelves and Sunday Post

This meme is hosted by Tynga over at Team Tynga's Reviews, which she describes as follows:

"Stacking The Shelves is all about the books we are adding to our shelves each week, sharing with you our excitement for our newest titles and maybe have you discover a new book in the process!"

Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

It's been a rainy weekend! I don't know what's falling more, the rain or the leaves! I had planned to close the pool this weekend, but there's no way that I'm standing in the pool to clean it when it's this chilly out! It is supposed to be warmer next weekend (17 degrees Celsius as opposed to 10 degrees Celsius), so I think I'll hold off another week.

I received the following audiobook for review:

Merry and Bright
by Debbie Macomber

I love Macomber's Christmas books, so I am really looking forward to this one! Thanks again to Random House Audio!

I won this paperback in a Twitter giveaway hosted by Alessandra of The Bookish Mind:

The Knife of Never Letting Go
by Patrick Ness
(Chaos Walking, Book #1)

Thanks again, Alessandra!

Recap: Last Week On The Blog

Sunday: Stacking the Shelves and Sunday Post
Friday: Audiobook Review: 4 out of 5 stars for Wild by Cheryl Strayed

What books have you added to your shelves this week? If you are also participating in either of these memes, please leave me the link to your blog post in the comments so that I can come and drool over all your goodies!

  1. Congratulations on your book win. I've heard lots of good about it.

As for rain, you may have felt like you had a lot, but if you didn't have 57 1/2 inches over four days, you can't even jump into our Gulf Coast of Texas ring. That's what Hurricane Harvey brought to us.

    1. Thanks, Deb! I've heard it is a great series.

No, we definitely didn't get that! I can't even imagine :(

  2. It's getting colder here too :) but I enjoy the rain - provided I'm inside. Of course :D the pattering on the window is just so nice.
Enjoy your books! Have a great week reading.

    1. I actually love the rain, but not when I have to be outside working in it! I can't bear the thought of putting on my bathing suit and standing in 50 degree water to clean the pool :( I'll have to suck it up and do it next weekend, though. I can't put it off any longer!

  3. I thought for sure we'd be using our pool up until October, but the weather has already gotten cooler. I wonder if summer will have one last hurrah before going away completely here. I envy you your rain. I keep hoping the clouds we have today will open up and let down some of their drops. Merry and Bright sounds like a great Christmas read! I hope you enjoy it. I hope you love The Life of Never Letting Go. It's very dark, but so good! I hope you have a great week, Darlene!

  5. I love the rain... just not being caught in it! When it floods ("floods") in downtown Baltimore, it isn't fun. I'm excited for fall. :D

Congrats on the win! I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Darlene. =)

    Check out my STS post!

  6. Hope you enjoy Debbie Macomber's new book. Sorry it's been so rainy out. It's been really beautiful in Ann Arbor.

  7. I like a day of rain periodically but once we get into a rainy week I'm done with it! That definitely sounds too cold for pool cleaning! I think I'd wait for warmer weather too. Enjoy Merry and Bright. I love Debbie Macomber's books but haven't read nearly enough of them. Have a great week!
